Travel to the University of Plymouth

The University of Plymouth has good links with the rest of the UK whether you are travelling by air, rail or road.  Combine that with immediate access to the dramatic Devon and Cornish Coast and the rugged beauty of Dartmoor it is a great place to visit. 

By air - Plymouth's airline, Air Southwest, operates from Plymouth City Airport and flies to a range of destinations in the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands and France with fares starting from £29 one-way, including taxes. Visit www.airsouthwest.com

By rail - The rail station is just a few minutes' walk from the main campus at Plymouth. There is a regular train service from Plymouth to London Paddington which takes from 3 1/2 hours between three and three-and-a-half hours. By car - Plymouth is easily reached by following the M5 motorway and then continuing on the A38 Expressway via Exeter. It's about a three-and-a-half-hour journey from London to Plymouth. In keeping with the university's environmental commitment, the use of cars, other than by those with disabilities, is actively discouraged.

Parking on campus is severely restricted but alternative parking can be found close by in the city centre. Several car parks located within walking distance of the university are listed on the campus map and is also available within the Drake Circus Shopping Centre; University Campus Map.
