"Thank you so much for sending me the 2008 Proceedings - it has now arrived in the post.  It looks really impressive so well done and thanks again to all of the organising committee.
I am informing my fellow Postgrad's of the 2009 Symposium as attending in 2008 really has been one of my most valuable Postgrad experiences.
Many thanks again!"  Julia Palmer University of Lancaster

Overview

Plymouth Postgraduate Symposium is an event which gives opportunity to postgraduates across the schools of Law and Social Science, Business and Geography to publicise their research within the university. The aims of the symposium are as follows:

-To provide postgraduate research and postgraduate taught students with an opportunity to present a paper or poster in a friendly environment

- To provide a forum where we can engage intellectually with those in other disciplines

-To allow students to share their latest research findings, obtain feedback on research plans or exchange ideas on methodological innovation

-To give students the chance of achieving a recognised publication (through the published proceedings of the symposium)

-To rejuvenate our interest in our research and to have a break from the often solitary pursuit of conducting research
