BOOKING for the May 2012 symposium is now open and the schedule of events will soon be available

The Plymouth International Post-Graduate Symposium is a popular annual event that offers postgraduate students from Business, Law and Geography backgrounds the opportunity to present and publicise their work within a supportive academic environment.

The aims of the symposium are:

  • To provide postgraduate research and taught students with an opportunity to present a poster or paper in a supportive and friendly environment

  • To provide a forum that allows students to engage intellectually with those from other disciplines
  • To allow students to share their latest research findings, obtain feedback on research plans or exchange ideas relating to methodological innovation
  • To give students the opportunity to achieve a recognised publication; through the published proceedings of the symposium

  • To rejuvenate individual interest in research and to have a break from this often solitary pursuit

"Thank you so much for sending me the 2008 Proceedings - it has now arrived in the post.  It looks really impressive so well done and thanks again to all of the organising committee.

I am informing my fellow postgrad's of the 2009 Symposium as attending in 2008 really has been one of my most valuable postgrad experiences.

Many thanks again!"  Julia Palmer University of Lancaster
